We are so THRILLED to be participating in this Fall’s One Room Challenge. It is legitimately our favorite time of the year when we get to see so many incredible rooms transform over the course of 6 weeks and this round’s participants are SO GOOD. Most of you already know why you’re here, but over the course of 6 weeks, we will be transforming a room in our house (Love House) for all of you to see! Our dear friend, Linda of Calling it Home, works so hard to bring this event to life and we are very, very grateful to be included! (Love you, girl.)
OMG, here we go. I won’t keep you waiting….the room that we are taking on is our little girl Kit’s room! She is our youngest of 7 kids (all the rest are boooooys, yes she’s spoiled) and I have been waiting to do a girls room for a. long. time.
This room in Love House was literally THE WORST when we bought the house. It had the most “stuff” in it, and I won’t be descriptive here but just so you know, it was the grossest of stuff. I’m going to find those pictures for you all soon, but let’s show you the room renovated first. We photographed it for our book and basically just moved all the s*** behind the camera :)
We had to do so much to get to this point that this is where it has stayed! Nothing to it besides pink floors, which we love, and white walls!
We have BIG PLANS for this space….I did finally get a girl, so don’t judge me for going overboard, haha!!
Aaaaaand because I believe we are all friends here, I’m going to show you actual, real life photos of what it looks like in this moment so that we can all have a good laugh later and say that we weren’t toooo scared for me, haha!
So. Many. Toys. She doesn’t even like them, guys! She wants to pet dogs all day and jump on the tramp, yet we have all this STUFF. I’m so happy to have this challenge so that we legitimately purge in here :)
We do have some really cool pieces that are staying…like this victorian mini dresser (that’s covered in stuff…) I can’t tell you how motivating this all is to put this out there, haha!
We are also going to take on our hallway and bathroom that are connected to her room, kind of unofficially. I’m putting that out there so that maybe we will actually do it, haha!
So embarrassed, but that’s what it takes when you do houses for everyone else except yourself!
Ok, now that you’ve seen aaaaalllll of that, let’s go see everyone else’s spaces! I really hope you’ll follow along!
