Fall One Room Challenge: Week 6!

Hi guys!!! Welcome to week 6!

I’m a little stressed tonight…we have had setback after setback getting this space ready. Our painters literally just stopped calling us back and we have been living like this ALL week…..

Normally we would just get out our supplies and sprayer do it ourselves but we have been completely overwhelmed with our showhouse. If you’re new here…we are Andy and Candis Meredith and we have had a show in HGTV and now have our own digital network called Home Love Network and our first big show is called Win This House and you can see it on Watch by Facebook. We’ve been doing one room a week in real time and this week will feel a lot like that in our own home, haha!!!

If I’m being totally honest, I’m so disappointed that we haven’t had more time to devote to this amazing opportunity. I’m sure you all know how it works…we have incredible sponsors who are very generous with their products and we get to use them in our spaces. I knew we needed to do our kitchen/living room because we spend the most time there and I was SO excited to use an Article couch, Fabricut fabric, Metrie molding etc. The problem is….we missed every. single. deadline to order anything. SO we are designing around pieces that we have or can get locally, all while trying to save as much money as we can. You might say we’ve failed the One Room Challenge, but we are DETERMINED to have a beautiful room to show you next week!

Not going to lie… I started to really question my decision. Dark paint is always a MESS and if it’s not taped perfectly it seriously looks like s***. I painted all of the woodwork and cabinets blue and the THE ENTIRE living room, molding and all, the same blue. It was a lot .

By morning I was feeling a little more confident, but still not convinced…

And then I made Andy and Courtnie hold things up for me…..

I think everything is going to be ok as long as I can find furniture in time. I’m loving the way this Audobon print looks in here so I want to print it BIG. We will see if that happens :)
