Fall One Room Challenge: Week 3!

Hi guys! So glad you’re here-Welcome to week 3!!

This is my favorite week of all because I have made some major decisions for my “Great Room” of our house! We are working on the kitchen/living room area and although it has been renovated, it is still awaiting it’s finishing touches and personality punch! Here is where we are today: **these are styled photos from our book and it never looks this good haha!**

Even thought the PHOTOS look great, if its not spotless and styled like this, the white walls don’t have enough personality to carry the room. SO…..

I’m thinking I’m going to paint all of the trim and cabinets a dark color. Something in the blue or green world. I can’t guarantee I won’t paint them charcoal, though, like we did on our kitchen episode of Win This House.

Then I’m going to go crazy with wallpaper…

These are all from Milton & King and they are SO SO GOOD. I feel totally inspired by the art deco line and the florals remind me of how cool it has been to find old wallpaper in our house. I’d love to bring some of that back!!

I’m also super pumped about the kind of look I want to create with the couches…these sofas and sectional from Article are just tailored to perfection:

Then possibly something like chair from Hayneedle:

AND THEN….some incredible lighting like this from Craftmade…

Seriously, are you kidding me with this?! I love it so much! I am also COMPLETELY in love with this light from Crystorama:

So basically, I’m going for Hipster Grandma, like usual ;)

I CAN’T wait to get everything here, get it all painted and show you next week our progress as far as the “construction” goes.
