We have about a bazillion things to write about to document the process that Love House went through to get where it is today. I think that will be a fun little thing we catch everyone up on here periodically (unless you want to cruise through our 1,500 posts on instagram until you get to the beginning ;)
I wanted to share some of the images from the book for Love House because they are some of my favorite.
And no, it’s not because that’s the cleanest it’s ever been or ever will be. But yes, it is.
PS These little girls are our neighbors and were walking to the school when we asked if they could walk/run by again…and again…and again until we got it perfect! Haha!!
As a little girl, I would come to this town for the carnival. The “Ring of Fire” ride was always in front of this house and I vividly remember wishing someone would love it back to life. I was, like, 7 and a super old lady in spirit. Even when I think about it now, I can’t believe that it was me that got to save it!! #lifegoals check!!
Also, I’m that person who HATES watching a movie if it has started already, even if it has only been 10 seconds, so this is a little abnormal for me to share afters before you’ve really seen all the before, but let’s face it, if I wait to blog everything…it could be a really long time!! So I’m chalking this up to ordering dessert first and I can totally handle that.
This kitchen is original and we want to one day completely restore it! Until then, we have added to the 15 coats of paint while it patiently waits for us :)
This bathroom was the biggest, craziest, smelliest MESS ever and now it is the stuff of my dreams. I’m for sure writing a whole post about this room because those floors are fabulous and inexpensive and we have a super fun and easy way we do the subway tile.
This image was a quick addition to the book and really hard to capture, but I really wanted it in there to show the 150 years of life and love of this house.
We built this fireplace surround based on one of my favorite French type door openings (I do know what it is called, but there are a few different things people call it and until I know for sure, I don’t want to sound like an idiot.) ANYWAY, we love it and it addded that little extra character we were hoping for.
Disclaimer: in real life, we totally have a TV above it. Please don’t judge me :) Also realizing I should have photoshopped out that plug for said TV, but oh well!! That’s reality!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little sneak peek of the book!! We have been overwhelmed by the response to our little labor of love this week! There’s more of #ohlLoveHouse to see inside!
Love you guys!!
