Hi guys! We are so excited for the next couple of months. We have been nesting at Love House A LOT lately, I don’t know what it is about winter and the snow, but I swear that is when I get the most done! (Maybe it’s because in the summer I’m like, ugh, it’s too hot, I’ll just go swimming instead of working ;)
We have partnered with Valspar this year to showcase some of their amazing colors! They have picked 12 trending colors for 2017 and we are going to have so much fun showing you how we use them and how they make us feel in our home. I love the colors they chose, they are fresh but also timeless and are super inspired by what lifestyle is like NOW-from culture, fashion, technology, nature to fashion! They are amazing curated colors that I know you’ll love.
Color is so important to me and it can truly change the entire feeling of a space not just visually but also emotionally. My grandma was an artist and I grew up learning how different colors make you feel and it’s so funny when I first met Andy and saw that he was living with a color that was depressing I just went into full color therapy mode and we painted the room that day a more energetic and outgoing color - true to Andy’s personality and all the things I love about him. We say all the time, if you can’t afford a huge make-over in life, you can always afford a new can of paint!
I’m thinking we are going to start with our dining room. As you know, we just finished it (seriously, one of our OWN houses, FINISHED! A miracle) and it is very, very dark. Don’t get me wrong, I love moody, but I feel like it is missing some personality. We were also not fully committed to this room being a dining room (it has lived as a “family museum” and den) but we are sick of eating at the island in the kitchen. 9 people around an average sized island is A LOT of people.
We will be filming the whole thing for you to enjoy soon, we can’t wait to share!! Andy is a little worried that this will spark make-overs all over our (newly finished) house but I told him not to worry.
It totally will.
We will be back tomorrow! Thanks for reading and thanks to Valspar for supporting and collaborating with us!
Love you!
Candis
